Group discounts are available, e.g. for a family of two adults and two children
this would work out at £40 for 24 hours. This package includes: bike hire; helmet;
lock; Pump; and basic tool kit.
Method of Payment
Bikes cannot be hired until the hire form has been completed and payment has been received. You make the payment and complete & sign the hire form when the bikes are delivered to you. We accept payment by cash (GBP British pound sterling) or by UK personal cheque guaranteed by a UK debit card to the limit of £100.00.
Hire Terms & Conditions
- Proof of identification must be provided on the delivery of your bicycles and accessories, eg driving licence, passport.
- We record key personal details, eg name, home address, holiday address, mobile phone number.
- A damage deposit of £50.00 per bike is required when hiring equipment. This deposit will be refunded if the bike is returned in satisfactory condition.
- Please cycle sensibly, with respect for others and the natural habitat. Cyclists are expected to follow The Highway Code.
- Anyone cycling in a discourteous or unsafe manner while in possession of M'S Cycle Hire equipment will have the equipment re-possessed by M'S Cycle Hire with no refund of hire charges.
- Cycle helmets are provided free of charge and all cyclists are strongly advised to use them. Adults who decline our offer of a free helmet must sign the Helmet Waiver Declaration.
- All young persons (age 17 or younger) MUST wear a cycle helmet and they will not be issued a bicycle without one. Our rule for young persons: No Helmet - No Hire!
- Young persons (age 17 or younger) will only be issued with equipment when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Cycles should be locked to a permanent fixture whenever left unattended. The method of securing should include the front wheel and frame. Theft of an unlocked bicycle will be the responsibility of the hirer who will be subject to a £200 charge to cover the replacement of the bicycle and its accessories.
- All equipment must be returned to the arranged meeting point at the time agreed for us to collect. We reserve the right to make an additional £10 charge for late returns.
- M'S Cycle Hire reserves the right not to hire equipment to an individual.
Child Carrier Safety Instructions & Guidelines
- Additional luggage should not be attached to the carrier, as it may exceed the load limit, and may cause an imbalance situation.
- Make no modifications to the carrier or Seat.
- Take care not to allow any of the childıs body or clothing to come in contact with moving parts of the bicycle.
- Always attach the retention harness snugly around the child.
- When no child is being carried, fasten the retention harness buckles soothe straps do not hang loosely.
- Make sure the child and the rider are wearing an approved bicycle helmet.
- Never ride in inclement weather or hazardous conditions.
- The load of the child carrier will alter riding characteristics of the bicycle, particularly regarding steering and braking.
- Never leave the child unattended in the carrier.
- Never leave the child in a carrier with the bicycle supported only by a kickstand.
- Maximum child weight limit is 48 LBS (22KGS)
- Make sure the centre of gravity line is no further back than 100mm (4 inches) behind the hub of the rear wheel.
- A CPSC-approved rear reflector must be visible whether the carrier is on the bicycle or not.
- Make sure the mounted child seat w/carrier does not interfere with braking or pedalling.
- Never ride the bicycle at night without adequate lighting front and rear.
- Always remove the carrier from the bicycle when the bicycle is being transported on a motor vehicle. This is necessary because the force of the high wind on the carrier to the point that it will not perform reliably.
